Citizens Advice Bureau Front entrance The Chelmsford Citizens Advice Bureau is located on the ground floor of 47 Broomfield Road.

There's no legal parking at the bureau itself, but there are car parks nearby, on Railway Street and Coval Lane. There is no client parking (except for disabled people) at the bureau, but 'pay-and-display' parking is available on-street at the back of Gainsborough Carpet Warehouse and in Broomfield Road, and at the small car park in Railway Street.
Our Information Kiosk in the waiting room is there for On screen Advice, Benefits and Information Forms, Government Services, Community Information and other useful links at the touch of a button.

Once one of our trained advisers becomes available, you will be asked to come through to one of our interview rooms. This is to ensure that your discussions with the adviser remain confidential.

The adviser may need to go off and check some details in our small library, or look up your details if this is about a problem that you have already told us about.

We are often busy, so you will probably have to wait for a while in our waiting room before an adviser can see you. We have a few old magazines there and some toys if you have small children with you.
There is usually someone at the reception desk, but sometimes we get overloaded. If no one is on the reception, there's a bell
on the counter that you should ring to let us know that you´re here.

Please be patient, we are just doing our best to give you good advice. Finally, the adviser will often check with one of our advice supervisors to see if the supervisor has anything they can add from their experiences in the past.
